It is true that the origin of all trauma (in this case I will call it samsara) is action (karma) and that the origin of all action (karma) is desire (kama). However. What is more important to know is that the origin of all desire (kama) is self (swé/svā) not wishing to be by itself and that the purpose why self is different in life is companionship otherwise known as love. Hence we go from samsara to nirvana or from trauma to relative peace and all-inclusive love by means of self-understanding.
