The question was asked 'is the purpose of self, love?' Or is it just 'being' with the option of wearing something more?
The idea that our core nature is simply love is beautiful but still an attachment to being something, rather than just being. Is it not so that realizing that we are simply 'being', whilst not consciously having to identify as love is a truly beautiful existence?
Would love to hear your thoughts and whether you agree or disagree. The answer is simple. All diversity is self and the reason why self conceived itself to perceive itself as diverse is companionship otherwise known as love hence the why of the gospel of love.
